Competitive Plumbing & HVAC

Kitchen renovation — plumbing-first remodels.

Most kitchens fail at the rough-in: undersized gas line for the new range, wrong drain slope, no air admittance valve. We rebuild it right, then put a beautiful kitchen on top.

What we deliver

Full kitchens — design through final inspection.

We focus on the bones: gas line sizing, drain layout, water supply, vent stack. Done right at rough-in, the kitchen lasts decades. Done wrong, you live with quirks forever.

Plumbing & gas rough-in

Re-plumb supply, drain, and vent. Upsize the gas line for a 60K BTU range and pot filler. Pressure-test and inspect before closing walls.

Cabinets & countertops

Stock or semi-custom cabinetry, quartz/granite/butcher block tops. Templated, fabricated, installed level and shimmed properly.

Appliance install

Range, dishwasher, fridge, garbage disposal, range hood — connected with the right gas, water, drain, and electrical. Permits as required.

Tile, paint, finishes

Backsplash, paint, hardware, light fixtures, outlets, USB receptacles. Punch-list-clean before we leave.

How it works

From phone call to walkthrough — done right.

  1. 1. Design & quote

Site walk, layout discussion, written quote with allowances for cabinets, counters, and fixtures.

  2. 2. Demo & rough-in

Strip cabinets, demo as needed, re-route plumbing and gas. Pull permits, get rough inspections.

  3. 3. Cabinets, counters, appliances

Cabinets installed plumb. Counters templated and fabricated. Appliances hooked up correctly.

  4. 4. Punch list

Trim, paint, fixtures, lighting, hardware. We walk it with you, fix any items, hand over the final invoice with photos.

Why Competitive

We don't promise quality. We deliver it.

  • We size it for your house, not the catalog

Manual J load calc on every install — most contractors skip it. Wrong size = short cycling, comfort issues, and 20% wasted fuel.

  • Mass Save rebates handled for you

We're a registered Mass Save partner. Up to $10,000 in rebates on qualifying heat pumps and high-efficiency boilers — we file the paperwork.

  • Owner on every install

Rob is a Master Plumber (MA #MP17629). He's on every install personally — not a sales rep, not a sub.

  • Clean, labeled, serviceable

Our installs are diagrammed, labeled, and tidy. The next tech who walks in (even if it's not us) can service the system without guessing.

FAQ

Common questions about kitchen renovation.

  • How long does a kitchen renovation take?

Cosmetic refresh (cabinets + counters + paint): 3–4 weeks. Full reno with new layout: 6–10 weeks. Structural changes add time. We give a firm schedule.

  • What does a kitchen renovation cost?

Cosmetic refresh: $25–50k. Full reno: $60–150k. Lots depends on cabinet spec, counter material, appliance package, and layout changes. We give itemized quotes — no allowance surprises.

  • Do you do design or do I bring my own designer?

Both work. We do straightforward layouts in-house. For more complex designs we partner with kitchen designers and execute their plans cleanly.

  • Can you upsize my gas line for a pro range?

Yes — a 60K BTU range needs a properly sized line back to the meter. Most existing kitchen runs are too small. We size it for the new appliance load and pull a permit.

Rob's work is top notch. I'm a picky engineer. His choice of equipment, materials and his workmanship was excellent. In the bidding process, Rob was responsive, honest, competent, creative, and respectful.

He answered his phone at 6:30am. Within 15 minutes, Rob called and told me how to repair it myself — he did not take advantage of the situation. Saved me $300.
