What we install

Bath retrofits, additions, full-house manifolds.

Radiant heat lives under the floor — quiet, even, and dust-free. We design and install hydronic systems that integrate with your existing boiler or as a standalone setup with its own modulating boiler.

Hydronic radiant tubing

PEX-A tubing in concrete slab, gypcrete pour, or above-floor heat-transfer plates. We design the loop layout for even temperature, no cold strips.

Manifolds & controls

Stainless or brass manifolds, individual zone valves, and per-room thermostats. Tied into your boiler or a dedicated mod-con unit.

Bathroom radiant retrofits

Add radiant under tile during a bath remodel — runs off the existing boiler. Massive comfort upgrade for a relatively small add-on.

Radiant repair & re-balancing

Cold zones, air-bound loops, leaky manifolds — we troubleshoot and fix existing radiant systems too.

How it works

From phone call to walkthrough — done right.

  1. 1. Heat-loss room-by-room

Radiant systems have to be sized per room (windows, R-value, exposure). We calculate it, not eyeball it.

  2. 2. Layout & manifold plan

Loop spacing, manifold location, supply/return routing — diagrammed before we cut a single board or pour a slab.

  3. 3. Install + pressure test

Tubing pulled, pressure-tested at 60+ psi for 24 hours, then handed off to flooring. Manifolds installed, controls wired, thermostats set.

  4. 4. Commission & balance

Once flooring is down, we charge the system, balance the loops, and commission the controls. Per-room temps tuned to your preference.

Why Competitive

We don't promise quality. We deliver it.

  • We size it for your house, not the catalog

Manual J load calc on every install — most contractors skip it. Wrong size = short cycling, comfort issues, and 20% wasted fuel.

  • Mass Save rebates handled for you

We're a registered Mass Save partner. Up to $10,000 in rebates on qualifying heat pumps and high-efficiency boilers — we file the paperwork.

  • Owner on every install

Rob is a Master Plumber (MA #MP17629). He's on every install personally — not a sales rep, not a sub.

  • Clean, labeled, serviceable

Our installs are diagrammed, labeled, and tidy. The next tech who walks in (even if it's not us) can service the system without guessing.

FAQ

Common questions about radiant floor heating.

  • Can I add radiant to an existing room?

Yes — above-floor plates or thin-slab gypcrete pours work in retrofits without ripping up subfloor. Bathroom retrofits are very common.

  • Is radiant more efficient than forced air?

Generally yes — lower water temps, zero duct losses, comfort at 2–3°F lower thermostat setpoint. The big efficiency win is comfort, not just BTUs.

  • Can my existing boiler run radiant?

Probably — most modern boilers can drive radiant directly with a mixing valve. Older high-temp cast-iron boilers may need a separate low-temp loop and mixing assembly.

  • How much does radiant cost?

Highly variable — bath retrofits run $4–8k; whole-home new construction is $8–18 per square foot installed. We give written quotes after a site visit.

He answered his phone at 6:30am. Within 15 minutes, Rob called and told me how to repair it myself — he did not take advantage of the situation. Saved me $300.
