View allWater heaters look simple. Most installs we walk into were done wrong — wrong vent, wrong gas line size, no expansion tank, no pan. We do them properly.

Rinnai and Navien condensing tankless. Endless hot water and ~30% lower running cost. Gas line and vent sizing handled correctly — most weren't on the install we're replacing.
Rheem ProTerra and AO Smith Voltex hybrid units. Mass Save rebates up to $750. 60–75% lower electric bill than a standard electric tank.
Pair with your boiler for unlimited hot water at very low marginal cost. The under-rated workhorse of efficient homes.
We check existing fuel, vent, gas-line size, electrical, and recovery needs. Written quote with rebate already factored in.
Most tank-to-tank swaps are 2–4 hours. New unit, expansion tank, drain pan, dielectric unions, properly torqued connections.
Vent, gas line upsize if needed, condensate handling, isolation valves, temp set. We commission with combustion analyzer.
Set the temp, walk you through the unit, file the Mass Save rebate paperwork. You should never see the inside of the panel.
Manual J load calc on every install — most contractors skip it. Wrong size = short cycling, comfort issues, and 20% wasted fuel.
We're a registered Mass Save partner. Up to $10,000 in rebates on qualifying heat pumps and high-efficiency boilers — we file the paperwork.
Rob is a Master Plumber (MA #MP17629). He's on every install personally — not a sales rep, not a sub.
Our installs are diagrammed, labeled, and tidy. The next tech who walks in (even if it's not us) can service the system without guessing.
Tank: 8–12 years average, 15+ if on a softener. Tankless: 18–22 years with annual descaling. If yours is past 10 and you see rust at the connections, plan ahead.
Tankless wins on running cost and never running out, but the upfront is higher and gas/vent often need upsizing. Tank is cheaper today, simpler, and fine for many homes. We give honest math, not pitch.
If you have an electric tank now, almost always — 60–75% less electricity used, plus Mass Save rebate. Needs ~750 cubic feet of space (basement is fine), so not for tight closets.
Yes. We stock common tank sizes and can usually swap same-day. Call (508) 944-7623.
